"Hi Harri,

We’ve properly installed the Quicksilver exhaust system and have been driving around for about two days now. I am meeting a friend on Monday next week to see if we will be able to get some high quality videos of the system –will keep you posted if I manage to get any clips.

Anyway, both my father and I are very pleased with the Quicksilver exhaust system...!

Personally, I am rather ‘OCD’about aftermarket exhaust systems and, admittedly, I rather dislike aftermarket exhaust systems that take away the car’s characteristic exhaust note and simply give it a ridiculously loud, screaming exhaust note. While this may work for certain cars, say, a car with a naturally aspirated V12 that already has a F1-like, screaming characteristic (e.g. Lambo LP670-4 SV), it would be a pity to hear a throaty and meaty AMG V8 (or, perhaps, Aston Martin’s previous generation naturally aspirated V12) sounding like a screaming V12.

This particular Quicksilver exhaust system retains almost all of the characteristic AMG V8 tone, while adding a subtle Quicksilver touch to give it more emotiveness. It also makes it a little louder, but keeps it well within the range of remaining classy with absolutely zero drone. In fact, I tried driving the car in “Comfort”and I could barely hear a difference until and unless I brought it close to the red line; on the other hand, the difference was much more obvious when driving in either “Sports”, “Sports+”or “Manual”.
